Horses take a bite out of Wincle’s assets
The Wincle brewery has some new ‘neigh’bours and since they have arrived there’s been more than a little horseplay.
It was Hayley who found our new delivery van under attack one morning when she was making an early start for Bakewell Farmers Market.
Of course we always keep the van empty overnight. But with it being parked at the edge of a field, not even a prominent notice on the back door would have made it clear to these rogues that there was nothing inside.
Well-on with their destruction by the time Hayley arrived, the van was surrounded by horses that had already bitten into the bumper and started to munch at the wing mirrors. It was no nibble either as the mirrors subsequently had to be replaced.
The incident does of course raise just one question. What does a horse have to do to get a drink around here?
